TM Connect at Tampines Meridian Junior College (TMJC) is an annual platform that brings together organisations working in the social, environmental and youth development sectors. Great to be again part of the 2026 edition! Held in the college hall, the event provided students with the opportunity to learn more about causes they care about and discover meaningful ways to contribute to their communities. Through our booth, we shared how The Circular Classroom works with schools, families and community partners to reduce textile waste, promote circular economy practices and create intergenerational learning experiences through sustainability. Students explored our ongoing projects, learnt about the environmental impact of school uniform waste, and discovered how pre-loved uniforms can be transformed into useful new products. We were encouraged by the enthusiasm and curiosity shown by many students who expressed an interest in getting involved. TM Connects also served as a valuable opportunity for students aged 16–18 to learn about volunteering and Values-in-Action (VIA) opportunities. We look forward to welcoming interested students to support our future programmes, workshops, exhibitions and community outreach activities as sustainability ambassadors and volunteers.
