As part of Go Green SG 2026, The Circular Classroom was delighted to partner for the first time with Tembusu Institute and TaF.tc to deliver a hands-on school uniform repurposing workshop centred on creativity, sustainability, and community action. Hosted at Tembusu Institute’s welcoming learning space at the THYST Centre, the workshop brought together participants who shared a passion for reducing waste and learning practical sustainability skills. While the group was small, it created a wonderful environment for meaningful conversations, peer learning, and hands-on making. Participants discovered how pre-loved school uniforms can be transformed into useful everyday items rather than ending up as waste. Guided by The Circular Classroom team, they learnt simple sewing and repurposing techniques while exploring the role of circular economy practices in reducing textile waste. By turning discarded uniforms into new products, participants experienced first-hand how small actions can contribute to a more sustainable future.
