How can digital technology strengthen sustainability education, volunteer engagement and community action? During Semester 2/2026, The Circular Classroom will collaborate with Final Year Project students to design and develop an integrated digital platform that supports sustainability programmes delivered across schools and communities. Working with The Circular Classroom, students will explore how technology can be used to coordinate activities, engage volunteers, track contributions and measure environmental and social impact. The project combines elements of software development, data analytics, user experience design and community engagement. Students will support The Circular Classroom to work on real-world challenges such as volunteer matching, impact dashboards, knowledge-sharing systems, automated communications and gamification features that encourage long-term participation. By developing digital tools that support sustainability initiatives at scale, students contribute to building stronger connections between schools, communities and volunteers, while helping advance environmental stewardship and civic participation through technology.
